13 Minutes with South Park: The Stick of Truth

More than once we were asked, “which episode of South Park…” we were watching when checking out the latest gameplay footage of the upcoming South Park RPG. The reason for this, as you will see in a few, is because you really can’t tell it’s a game. Besides being outright hilarious, the fact that the upcoming title due next month looks and sounds just like the cartoon is amazing. It will be one of those games that even if you’re unlucky enough not to play, a play through on youtube will still provide a decent experience for you.

So far we know that you play as the new kid in town who is simply known as Douchebag for most of the game. Already we can see South Park: The Stick of Truth is full of nods to classic titles and the RPG genre itself. We’re excited to see how well things have been shaping up for Trey and Matt and even though this isn’t their first foray into gaming, it’s becoming clear that this may become their most successful endeavor into the industry yet.
